FAQ
Ships
IN THE EVENT of a stock frigate race, all tech 1 frigates are allowed, excluding any 'special' ships (faction etc.).
However if it's not a stock race (see individual race threads on the forum) the tech 1 rules don't apply.

Modules
IN THE EVENT of a stock frigate race, all tech 1 meta 0 (zero) modules are allowed. This means any modules without a 'META LEVEL' attribute.
Note: Some 'named' modules (such as 'Basic' modules) are meta 0, these are allowed in the frigate races!

Rigs, boosters, implants etc.
These are allowed in the races. You may decide for yourself how much money you put into a ship for a race, don't blame us if your ship ends up costing more than the prize pot! However note that rigs must follow the stock racer rules if they apply.
Concerning teams and seasons
A team is a group of 3 or more racers competing against other teams for the "season prize".
Teams willbe ranked according to how well their competing pilots do in each race.
A team must field at least 3 pilots in a race to get ranked.
When a season is completed, the team with the best score will win the season prize. This prize is set to be paid out to the team captain, but other arrangements can be made upon request.
A team which does not compete in a race during a season will receive a rank equal to one rank more than the highest ranking team in that particular race. (Remember, lower scores are better!)

Frequently Asked Questions
Does "sub-warp racing" mean "no microwarpdrives"?
No! Warp is what you use to get from stargate to stargate within a solar system, it is not the same as a microwarpdrive, which for the purposes of racing are categorised as afterburners.
Where is the race track? How do I get there?!
The race track is located in the system announced in the forum and the race channels prior to the race. To get there, you will join a fleet which will be created one half hour before race time and warp to the track.
To get into the fleet, make sure you are in the "FRIGATE RACE" channel at the meet-up time, and you will recieve an invite.
Can you change the time of the event to better suit my schedule?
Yes! We'd be happy to adjust race times to best suit the greatest number of contestants, please post you desired time and we will see what we can do to accomodate you.
Is it alright if I fit guns/missiles/e-war modules on my ship?
Provided the modules in question follow the meta 0 restrictions, it should not be a problem. However note that races take place in high security systems, so aggressing a competitor or anyone else on the race track will result in standard CONCORD intervention. Additionally you will immediately be disqualified from the race.
How will you know whether contestants are following the fitting restrictions?
We scan all contestants before the race starts to make sure all their modules are within the set restrictions.
Can I bring this meta X module? It's only for show, and I won't activate it!
No. The rules clearly state that only meta 0 modules are allowed. Please make sure none of your modules have a 'META LEVEL' attribute, as this saves us time and energy in the hectical minutes before race start.
Can you add/remove/change cans around in the checkpoints/starting grid/finish grid to these specifications please?
The way we design the checkpoints we don't want to change, for various reasons. Unless you can come up with a very convincing reason for us to do so, we most likely will not.
Can you alter the layout of you next race track to these specifications?
Yes. If you would like to see a certain element added to the layout of one of our courses, we would be delighted to take your request into consideration.
HELP! The turns are too hard!
You are going too fast!
HELP! The turns are too easy!
You are going too slow!
Thanks! Now the track is just the right difficulty!
Told ya =)
You should make a ship class X race, can you do that?
Yes. We will eventually expand into other branches of racing. However this is solely dependent on the demand that is out there, so if you want to see a specific race, the best thing for you to do is to find more pilots with the same desire as you, and bring them along to some of the events, and have them post some feedback and requests in our forum threads. As soon as we see that there is sufficient interest in a certain branch of racing, we will start making events geared towards that class.
Can I try the course before the race please?
Yes!
Surely someone with all the expensive speed augmentations will win every time?
This is not a drag race, speed is not the only attribute that counts, especially when you're zig-zagging around those tight hairpin corners!
My standings with X are very low, will I be able to participate?
If you can't enter the system in which the race will be located, perhaps you may be able to join next time, when the race track is located elsewhere.
The race is over, what are you going to do with the race track now?
Once an official race has been completed, the race track in question will be 'opened' to the public. You can contact Julius Rigel for a bookmark to open race tracks, and fly the course by yourself or challenge a friend for fun!
I think you are a bad event leader, and I think I will state this many times over in capitalized messages in your forum topics!
I appologise if you feel I am doing a bad job, but I put a lot of effort into this. If you think you can do it better, go right ahead and host your own event!
